Swan/Dolphin - pros & cons please!
Hi, we've stayed onsite before (pofq, Riverside, Caribbean beach & AoA) and enjoyed the qsdp.
Looking at next Xmas, so won't get the free dining plan - options are stay onsite (& possibly buy qsdp) or considering Swan or Dolphin for their location. Any advice on these hotels welcome - we've seen them when we've been on The Boardwalk but that's all. I know you can walk to HS (& Epcot?) but how is transport to the other parks? Pools & restaurants good? Thanks x |

I haven't stayed but we did a bit of resort hopping and visited in September. We are a couple in our 40s and we really liked the ambience and public areas of the hotel, I think it has very good dining options, didn't look at the pool.
I don't always see good rates for it, but if you can find one it would be one of the cheaper deluxe hotels. I think it has a great location for HS and Epcot, no idea about buses to MK / AK / Disney Springs but I expect it is similar to anywhere else. It has all the onsite guest advantages other than Magical Express bus. |

Stayed there and loved it, boardwalk location but at a much cheaper rate! Dining, and services on the hotel are excellent (better than the other deluxes imo!)
Would definitely stay again, the Christmas decorations are lovely at that time of year as well!

The biggest issue we have is that you cant charge to the room, which we love about Disney. No worries about carrying anything around with you.

Fantastic location, staff, dining, pool areas, boats to Epcot, MGM and stroll to Boardwalk.
Sometimes gets busy with conventions. |

i have never stayed but have visited a couple of times...looks lovely, great location, like others have said if you get a good deal book!... i know you pay a resort fee there so wager that in..The charge to the room aspect would never bother me as i would never pay for overpriced Disney "park" goods anyway!
