Those fire side tings and mini dust pans and brushes with the coal scuttle Sat next to them filled to the top to keep the fire burning... the coal
man carrying the sacks of coal up the back lanes because the wagon wouldn’t fit😂😂😂 old fashioned cast iron irons that were filled with charcoal my great grandma used to press all the sheets with. The old cylinder vacuum cleaners with the strong clips on the bottom and the tiny dust bags inside that used to throw the dust everywhere the minute you opened them.

I dont know if this has been posted but the hot weather has reminded me how clusters of kids used to sit on the kerb using a stick to burst the tar bubbles which came up on the side of the road as the tar melted

my mum and her friends covering them selves in olive oil because it helped to get a better tan

I loved them, my favourite was the beef risotto though. I could still eat one now.

I’m sure I saw them in £Stretchers today...though they probably don’t taste the same.

Can't believe no one has posted one of these yet.

I used to stay at my great aunt's house, there would be one of these under every bed. Always referred to as "emma"
Vividly remember using them

I used to love the vesta meal boxes, I did have a favourite but I can’t remember it now, it could have been that one.

There was a jug and basin set in every bedroom. They were beautiful.

When Auntie moved to a house with a bathroom in the seventies she smashed them all with a hammer and buried the pieces in the back yard.

Maybe some confused archaeologist in the future will wonder what happened?
