It wont be an issue it just wont do automatic readings to them you will have to send readings in yourself

Ours is an old SMETS1 and doesn’t work so I have to manually read the meter. Hoping that when we have the meter changed it will be a SMETS3 which is standardised (family member in energy and hope I have listened to her properly &#128521

We are with Octopus at the moment, so far so good, we just take regular readings and it seems to be quite above board and reasonable prices.

I've just changed to Octopus through a comparison site. The site gives you 20 points to spread among the things that matter most to you before they select for you and having had many frustrating hours with suppliers I gave 14 of those points to 'Customer Service'
Octopus came top of the list they gave me and also reasonable price. So the customer service had better be good!
Edit;OOPS scrap that - I'm with IGLOO energy not Octopus _ i remember now I tried to call Octopus and couldn't get an answer

Just left Octopus after my contract came to an end, and they were fine, my payments remained the same and I was not in debit when I left. I wll only go with a green energy co. and I am now with Peoples power, think thats the name, a little less each month and absolutely all renewable power.

Octopus are 100% renewable - that is essential to me, cost second and they won both of these for me

Joined octopus energy in June, cheapest deal I could get. No issues. Even my smart meter works fine with full functions. Smart meter does the readings for me so all I get is a monthly email with usage charges and balance. Another happy customer.
