He hates the drinks my fault totally he and his brothers ever got sugar
Salt etc they will and can't control if anything is to sweet or salty it comes right backup
If it loaded with chilli garlic sage rosemary rotten stinky cheese etc no problem he's never liked choclate but wine gums he loves but can't have in case he chocks
We can't take his neck brace off as his unstable fractures are C1/2
It's scary washing him belive me

It sounds like he is doing well. I like his sense of humour!😂
Good high calories food if he isn’t keen on sweet stuff would be crackers with butter and cheese on them, avocado and hummus with crackers. When my family member had his accident and head injury he lost a lot of weight too. He didn’t mind sweet stuff so would have ice cream and raspberry sauce after every meal. Hope he continues to improve and do well xx

Lovely to read he is now in HDU. When my now ex husband broke his neck we were so relieved when he went from ICU to hdu it was a small step but a happy one. He too lost lots of weight in the early days. Fingers crossed for more small recovery steps over the coming weeks for you and your family xx

Sounds like he is progressing really well and although it will seem slow to you, to me it sounds quite quick. Love his off the wall sense of humour. As far as the weight I think as long as he is putting some on then then see it as a positive.

Good that your son is making progress. When I worked with people with head and neck cancers who lost a lot of weight we used to advise adding, butter, double cream, cheese or Cornish ice cream to food and drinks.
