Beaches on the Atlantic coast
Already sorted the gulf side.
(I think it’s that side) Going to Venice beach- hubby wants to do that for the sharks teeth Anna Maria island- looks so beautiful, peaceful and bar on the beach. This is my pick As these are both at one side we want to go to the other side. Did originally think at Augustine but that’s about 2hr50 away. Cocoa beach is only 1hr40 which is better but I know nothing about any of the beaches at that side. Any ideas? Trip reports would also be awesome if anyone has any. A trip report completely sold me on Anna Maria |

No trip report, but we love the beaches on the Atlantic Coast, Vero, Deerfield, and Cocoa. Cocoa is obviously closest, it's a lovely drive, plenty of parking around and inexpensive. Has showers/toilets to use to get changed, and a few bars/restaurants dotted around. We took a cool box from the villa, put water and cokes in it, plus some fruit, and the ice cream man came along the beach so we sat eating an ice cream under the umbrella, was a beautiful day, we rented 2 chairs and brolly, think it was $40 for the day. We snorkelled, sunbathed and watched the world go by, it was beautiful! And in October, 103' back in the car!

Although east coast is closer if driving from Disney base, we prefer gulf coast. I think Sea is calmer & warmer on gulf coast. Cocoa beach good if you like a commercial area like Clearwater. We prefer the beaches to the south of cocoa beach which still have parking & facilities but much quieter. Head to Melbourne & over to the coast from there

That sound like a lovely day. Mine with two little ones probably won’t be as relaxing but we are going to buy some beach stuff from Walmart, maybe a little pop up tent etc so we can use it for our three beach trips. We just wanna see more of Florida than just the parks. Plus nice to have a bit of beach time too.
