What does everyone recommend for selling a car? What sites etc never sold a car before so I’m well out of my depth. Thanks in advance

DD used 'We Buy Any Car' They offered her more than she was expecting and the money was in her account within an hour. The process was very straight forward.

Be careful with we buy any car if you do an online quote they will offer you less than tgat when you take it.
But apart from that quite easy to deal with

or an auction we sold our last car there

saves time wasters / tyre kickers & all sorts of no shows etc

maybe get a few quid more privately but couldnt be bothered with the hassle

or trade it in

Ebay but beware of ridiculous offers .

Wouldn't touch We buy any Car, they tried to rip my DD off, after filling out the forms online and giving us a quote of 6k , came to look at it, tried very hard to find a scratch only to find one in the door seal, so offered her 3.5k for the car!

She had to sell as was moving abroad so emailed all local garages with pics of the car, she got a reply from a local car showroom who snapped it up for £6300!

I think if you know what its worth and what you are willing to except then advise it on line, on local FB pages, ebay, Auto trader, etc.

With "we buy any car" it seems to vary depending on the local branch and salesperson as we have had no issues selling through them with no hassle and money in bank account very quickly. We sold our Mini to them and got the price quoted online which was better than offered as trade in or for selling to local dealerships. There is no harm in getting a price online but make sure you are very honest and note every little scratch/dent.

It also depends on the potential price as we did not want to risk selling in on Gumtree or similar due to the value.

I sold a couple of cars with We buy any car and can't fault them, both times got a better price than trading in by over £1000.
