The old Never Expire Tickets

I am planning on using some never expire tickets this year (bought in 2004!). Has anyone any experience of using these recently? I assume the tickets need swapping at a ticket office for more up to date tickets? Or can they be used at the gates as they are? If they get swapped and we don't use all the days up, will what is left still be never expire? Once there, will I will able to book any fastpasses?

i believe you have to exchange them to new type if you want to add them to your MDE not sure about straight to the turnstiles. Unused days remain until all used up although I think they set the date at 2030 on ours.
There did used to be a ticket hotline that you could scan the backs & they then would allocate numbers for MDe but not sure if it still exists.
We finally used the last of ours in 2018

Thanks. I don't think there's anything to scan on our tickets, it a magnetic strip.

We had to exchange ours at Disney think it was about 6 years ago.
I can’t remember if they put any date on them but we used them in 2015 I think it was as we only had 4 days left on them

We went to customer service at Disney springs. We weren’t sure what we had left on them and they just transferred it to a new ticket. Very easy!

Mine also now have an expiry date of 2030. The way things are going I'm not sure I'll get back before then 😂

Can anyone see their NEX tickets on MDE or the website? I can see the tickets but no longer the number of days remaining 😕

May I ask a question please... I still have my 5 day All in one Hopper ticket purchased in 1998 and it doesn't have an expiry date on the ticket. It does however, say on the protective sleeve that any unused days can be used for future visits.
How can you tell if all days have been used?
