GoPro Hero 7 bad move for kids christmas concert

So here i was thinking i'll use my go pro to record my kids concert.
I wasnt close and wasnt sure if i could zoom in. Set the settings on high, 4k with i think the highest rate.

The thing kept heating up like crazy, and battery went so so fast. i was only recording 2-3 mins here and there over a 3 hour show.

Get home to then find out i cannot view it on macbook pro, when usually i can, i downloaded a program & it doesnt move picture but can hear sound.

I think i should have used my Canon G7x as i got better video using that & with zoom last year.

Lession learned.
