Oh how very kind - thank you. The community shop is delivering bikes and trailer to the airport . We fly to Kirkwall on 12th then to Sanday on 14th for 2 nights then back to Kirkwall for a night. I have found a map my Father (I think ) drew marking the points where my Mother and all her siblings were born (all over the Island ) and addresses of where relative lived (all now dead as this was nigh on a century ago 1920/30’s) but very excited

I’m definitely not a long lost cousin you’ll be glad to know, my family tree doesn’t show any Orkney ancestors so far, although my maiden name is a common one up here so there might be a chance far, far back 😄

My mothers maiden name was Sinclair - again a common one up there

We are staying at Braeswick (my friend booked it as it came recommended to her) so hope not many hills either lol. Be great to meet up maybe ? X
