I had a fantastic day in 2019 when we were in California. I left the family at our apartment in Oceanside, took the Coaster train down to San Diego and jumped on the Old Town Trolley tour around the city. I got off at Hotel Del Coronado for a nosey and spent well over an hour sat outside on their back deck with a drink and cake people watching in the sunshine, bliss!
Our guide on the trolley told us it was where King Edward VIII met Wallis Simpson...!

Yes it was.

We took a drive down to Coronado and had a wander around. The area is lovely. Even the Bridge was scenic.
