universal/discovery cove weekends
Hi there
Thinking about next summer and starting to try and get some small bits of planning done before things are out to book just to keep me going... We have done universal on site before and discovery cove but neither on a weekend and wondering for any options on the matter... would we be better booking at weekends as we would have passes for universal or would it still be busy as it's weekend as last time midweek and was really quite which was great Also same again with DC..last time was the hurricane and was hardly anyone there ...think we were spoilt , so would like it quite but know it's limited capacity so would weekend still feel busy to us... We have an older daughter with really bad anxiety so the quieter the better really just trying to figure out what's best to do ... Thanks for any help |

I've found that all of the parks are usually busy on a weekend so always book DC for a Saturday or Sunday as you know it will never be overcrowded.
You can always try going to the park early as they tend to fill up more during the day and then die down later on so you could also go then maybe with a pool break in-between. We also have a shopping trip/pool day on a Sunday to get away from the busy parks.

Ditto. Even with front of the line passes at Universal, it can get too busy for us on weekends. Things we've done on weekends are:
Discovery Cove - never gets too busy as they have a capacity limit. Shopping - but get there for opening otherwise parking can be a hassle Pool morning then mid afternoon meal at a nice restaurant, last visit we did Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Orlando Eye /Tussauds/sea life place |

We try to avoid all major theme parks at weekends.
We always book Discovery Cove for a weekend due to its low capacity, doesn't really matter what day it is. Also try to do airboat and visiting shops etc at weekends.

We tend to find that DC is quite quiet as it has a low capacity, especially in comparison to the parks, so it may be worth looking at doing DC on the weekend instead

Will look at booking DC at the weekend and universal in the week ... Still got alot of saving to do and fingers crossed everything will be better for everyone next year. |
