We did the Romney Hythe and dymchurch railway this summer with my sister and hubby, a nostalgia trip because we used to do it each year in the summer when we went to stay with our Granny.

My uncle passed his exams as a driver in his 80s and enjoyed the footplate for a few years. My nephew has completed his thesis on the railway this year and got a first.

I love the desolation of Dungeness, if I had a UK holiday home it would be there.

Another vote for Whitstable! I walked my dog from Tankerton Slopes to Hampton Pier this morning.
Whitstable is a lovely town, lots of dog friendly pubs and cafes.
Also, Minnis Bay and Reculver are great - but dogs need to be on a lead at Minnis Bay until September 30th.

Whitstable would be a bit of a nostalgia trip for me as I used to live across the water on the Isle of Sheppey. Had a few late nights (early mornings) along the coast there and just outside Canterbury at The Bridge House Country Club. This was the 70's though.

Shhhhhhhhhh

The first rule about Deal is that you don’t talk about Deal.

Another vote for Whitstable - we used to live at Seasalter when we were younger and loved the area. Used to walk along the front to the town centre and then into the high street to get fish and chips and sit on the front with it and people watch. Did a project on the oyster industry as part of my college course and that was really interesting.
