Virgin finally got rescue package .

Virgin finally got rescue package sorted. Really pleased they haven't gone under as they are the only ones that fly direct to Orlando from Manchester Airport. Just hope they keep their prices reasonable and don't price them to high.

Just seen this on the news -good news indeed. I'm not sure what impact this will have on prices though.

Its not as it seems though. They are not receiving over a Billion pounds, more like 370 million, deferred payment of 400 million to Delta and the credit card payment companies releasing more cash already paid by passengers to the airline and they won't get anything until the end of the summer and they still have bills to pay. Some people in the industry still think its not enough especially if they are forced to repay for the cancel flights within the 7/14 day time frame. £370 million will last just 6 weeks... Virgin needs the flights to the US to start like last week to ideally keep the money coming to stay afloat.
