Eurostar Prices May 21

Been waiting patiently for the tickets for the end of May to be released. They have come out today for the full dates we need and for 4 it's over £1000. I was so shocked! Flights have already edged up because they have been out for ages. Also add in the transfers and it's not much cheaper.

Now debating whether to bite the bullet and book or wait out for indirect but that's months away!

I paid over £600 (for 3) this year for February half term for the direct train, I knew that indirect would have been far far cheaper but at the time I was booking I just wanted to know everything was sorted.
For May, doesn't seem to be (too) over inflated a price, however if you can wait it out then go indirect and change at Lille...

Thanks. That doesn't make me feel too bad then. I was shocked 😳. I would prefer direct. It was a nightmare last time getting home with the commuters.

We paid £371 for 4 seats return on the direct train in November. Which I thought was expensive as I’d seen much cheaper, just not for the dates we wanted.

I guess the price is dependant on if you're catching a standard UK school holiday or not (I think!)...

Sometimes they release them before they show on the website, and all the cheap fares are gone in an hour by phone.

Ah that explains it a bit. I wonder if they will release anymore or do they just keep going up from this point?

I’ve never seen any cheap Eurostar tickets during school holidays. If you can be flexible the best option is to use an inset day and miss a couple of days of schools to get a better deal. Slightly controversial (to some) but Disney is far too expensive otherwise.
