Disney gift card

Hopefully posted in correct place.
If someone purchases a Disney gift card for us from A
USA, can we load it easily here in UK for future visits

Not any longer. You used to be able to do this at the Disney Store, but they haven't sold gift cards for a few years.

However, what you can do is buy an online gift card. You can print them off like an Amazon gift card so they look nice, and you can get them in a variety of values, $10 etc. This doesn't get you a plastic card, but there are less of those around now anyway, even your "free" gift card from Disney for various reasons now comes virtually, via an email address.

Yes, I think you can. As long as the gift card is loaded with at least the minimum $ activation amount at the till in the USA you should be OK.

You then open an account at disneygiftcard.com and register this card. I have a backup one too listed and bear in mind there is a maximum load of $1000 per card so you may need more too. They all have to be activated though as above before you can do this.

Then buy online cards from Target etc using paypal as seen in other threads and when you get the online card code add this to your gift card account too.

Then in your gift card account move the funds from the virtual card(s) to the physical one(s).

I posted the following on another Didd forum which some might not get to read, so just in case I'm reposting it here.

Of interest to those who've set up a Disney Gift Card Account, there's an upgrade from January 20, 2021.

All existing DisneyGiftCard.com account details (logins and gift cards added) will no longer be available after January 19, 2021. As a reminder, your account is not a mobile wallet and should not be considered as such. Always be sure to keep your physical and digital Disney Gift Card(s) with you as it will be required to make any purchases.

Once live on January 20, 2021, the enhanced site will allow visitors to utilize their existing 'Disney account' to login; using the same login credentials across multiple Disney sites and apps including: shopDisney, My Disney Experience, WaltDisneyWorld.com and Disneyland.com.
Prior to the website enhancement on January 20, 2021, please be sure that you take the following steps:

Have access to your Disney Gift Card(s), including your full 16-digit account number and EAN to add your card(s) onto the updated website.

Starting January 20, 2021, please visit DisneyGiftCard.com to create a new account, or use your existing Disney account login, and enter your gift card(s) information into the My Cards section.

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll make sure I've got all my cards safe before the switch over
