London Calling ...

I was in the car at lunchtime listening to my play list ... this came on ;

Hard to believe it is now 40 years old ! 😳 ( where have the years gone?)

It triggered an instant memory for me - January 1980 Earls Court

What songs instantly trigger a memory for you?

You should come along to the London Stadium one Saturday to see my beloved West Ham.

Played every home game before play starts.

Iconic record., love it

The chances are that will be unlikely D332 as my team is struggling atm.

I love the song though.

Downtown by Pet Clark - old cine film of me as a baby just about saying “town town “ to it .

Reminds me of my nursery and the wallpaper it had with 2 headed llama etc from Dr Doolittle every time I hear it (which admittedly is rare these days !)

Yes good spot - push me pull you well remembered ! I think I was too young for the film at the pictures when it was released and had to wait to see it Christmas Day a few years later - years before we had reel to reel videos ! I am that old lol

Im afraid its something less salubrious than that NC. I was part of the London Boat Show that year. (Wish it had been The Clash! )

That song takes me back.
