You’ll probably find he goes darker again in the winter - looks like a summer coat/winter coat thing.
My horse is two very different colours in summer and winter

Not quite the same but our black cat goes brown in the summer and back to black in the winter, it must be the sun as he sits in all day

Regarding the first one, it doesn’t look that much of a colour change to me. I would not worry about it.

I've seen that pic, isnt she gorgeous?
Weve taken some more pics of him, not really much we can do I suppose. Hes just one of the many local rough tom cats-will just give him a bellyfull grub
