I've done a large amount of the states, at last count I'm missing the Dakotas, Montana, Alaska, Hawaii and Wyoming before I've got the "set"
The place I really want to go to is mount Rushmore, but as anyone who has ever been there knows it is about a day from anywhere, and even then the places you get to in that day are still about day from a large city. |

We were due to revisit NY this year, we have both been many times but not for about 12 years now, so that would be on the list. However I expect our next non Orlando US trip will be to Los Angeles and onto Hawaii.

As your going to Nashville visit Chattanooga or Memphis. We flew into Atlanta and drove to Chattanooga then Nashville & then Memphis. Best holiday ever & would do it all again.

If I was set on Nashville then I’d team it with a Deep South road trip which for me would include the smokey mountains and Memphis. I like the idea of flying into Atlanta and driving through that past of the US. I’ve planned the route in my head but have to convince DH as he used to work in Nashville so has done that ‘bit’.

Oooo New Orleans could be an option I’ve always fancied it there
West coast I didn’t really enjoy that much and after doing it a few years on the bounce I will happily give it a miss for awhile

Thanks guys .. I knew you would have ideas 👍🏻
As it’s just me I’m hoping to not drive so road trips are out but I do really like the idea of New Orleans or New England ... gonna have to get the map out .. I know internal flights are easy enough 👍🏻

We like North Carolina & Georgia but neither would be my choice in say feb ( unless just visiting my friend ) as it’s cold . I was in Atlanta in November and it was -7 one evening and bitterly cold the next day ..
Our preference for Feb / March each year is the west coast as it’s much warmer . |
