Who's braving GE on opening day ?

We go on the 19th and are getting up at 5am on the 22nd to do extra extra hours, hoping all the mad fans have been by then, and not loads are as mad as us to get up at that time, so it wont be too bad!

It would be ace to say you were there, we rode Maelstrom the last day it was open and that was nice to do.

We are thinking of doing Monday 2nd with the EEMH and then attempting the next day if we fail to get in

I have dining reservations at hs on this day. This was booked prior to the announcement of GE. I’m really debating whether to cancel or just go with the madness 😬🤔

Is have to try if I were there and not a massive Star Wars fan at all. I get up at 5am every day anyway though. I’d go and scout it out and abandon it if an obvious car crash. Here’s the thing. Some people have to get in and on stuff that first day. Worth a punt!

Looks like a DIBB meet at the entrance (or as close as we can get with the hundreds of people) at 4AM!

As others have said, we are not expecting to get a lot (or anything) done, its more for the ambiance of the opening and to say we where there.

Hehe, true. However, vloggers have already been around GE and made hundreds of videos showing everything. Sure, that was at GE over on the west coast rather than this one on the east coast. But the two are almost identical. They may as well copy the videos from DLR.

Also, with cast previews of GE starting in early August, I wouldn't be surprised if we see lots of vlogs of WDW's GE prior to 29th August.
