Altamonte mall - any good?
Last few times we've found that stores/malls a little away from the tourist areas (i.e. not florida mall, mall of millenia) were cheaper.
Anyone been altamonte mall? Its not far by the looks... |

I think it's OK. If you have time it's worth a trip up. Some think you get better prices but bar a couple of things I've not saved too much more.
Guess it depends what you are buying. |

Yes I think it is worth a visit but I am not really a lover of malls (seen one seen them all) I much prefer stores like Marshalls or Burlington for great prices, which are normally located on the perimeter or nearby.

I heard it was a bit cheaper but from checking the site the stores looked limited to those we go to at Premium Outlets.

We went a couple of years ago and enjoyed it, it was nowhere near as busy as the other malls and had some great bargains. We bought several pairs of trainers from Shoe Carnival - buy one get one half price and we also had a voucher for an extra 30% off. Cant remember where we got the voucher from, we might have joined a mailing list.

we like it, no crowds and can sometimes get a bargain plus its nice to get away for a bit. Our new fav is the outlets in tampa, far better than vineland and Idrive and we had the place to ourselves last time. Straight road for majority of journey

We are scheduled to visit on our trip. As others have said the Mall is quieter than the 'main' touristy ones and it is possible to grab bargains here.
Last time we went, it was the Labor Day sales, 40% off most stores in this Mall, went to Mall of Millenia the next day and those same stores had 25% off. |

Its ok , similar stores at other malls in the tourist areas. Wouldn't say it was a lot cheaper but definitely quieter.
You may want to factor in where you are travelling from as i remember the journey was a real pig last year with the roadworks.
