One thing that pleased us about the TCD staff was their knowledge of accommodation especially hotels.

As I said earlier when we pushed the boat out and stayed at the HoJo on 192 which was quite a sizeable upgrade from the Econolodge Hawaiian At least £2 a night dearer. TCD staff had been to both.

We still pass the HoJo regularly (well we used to ) - renamed Champion's World Resort I believe

Regularly used to get £99 Fly Drives with the original TCD... they used to overcharge for CDW on the car but it was still a good deal overall!

Got a few good deals with Airtours back in the day too... used to like their Premier Gold cabin too if feeling a bit flush!

First trip was on Britannia ... Tristar planes that stopped in Gander to refuel! They were cheap too... but can’t remember what we paid !

The 2009 glitch where no taxes or charges were on the flights. All in with tickets ( Disney and universal), condo and flights we were just over £1700 for the 5 of us. Got a freest deal the next year with Thomson’s at £2000 for us all but tickets were extra. Since them it’s been pay pay pay.

Off topic but the best deal ever was getting my wife to marry an idiot like me. Back on topic return flight coming back from Orlando one year 95 quid each for an upgrade to upper class.

I'm 74 and I struggle to remember what I had for breakfast but I do remember Bangor.

One year in the late-90s we went in early April and refueled there. They had to spray de-icer on the wing flaps before we could take off again
