Virgin upper class query

So after not being able to travel this year we like many of you are looking for next year and have discovered that upper class is currently a good deal.

I have looked and one of the benefits seems to be chauffeured to and from the airport which would make it an even better deal.

My query is it looks like there is a maximum number of people and cases they will take so for the five of us I think we could have three of four cases. Surely this isn’t correct as we are allowed two cases each on the flight but not in the car?

Hope that makes sense, Can anyone share their experience- I’m hoping I’m reading it wrong!

It would appear though that you have to be flying on a J, C or D full flexible fare and that's probably not the good deals you are looking at I'm afraid. You can add one to any booking and pay with miles though.

As above, the cheap deals that they currently are offering ("Z" fares) in UC do not include the chauffeur service. You would need to be booked in a "D" fare or higher which is currently over £3K.

In my experience the car is very expensive and only on the 4K plus fairs

I had read that recently, shame it was a good service but even so you had to live within I think it was 75 miles of the airport eventually more recently. I know last time we flew to SFO we didnt get the car from home as too far away but we did get it at the other end from the airport to our hotel.
As everyone else had said you used to need to be in the right fare class to get it anyway.
I think they also cancelled the Return's Lounge now too which was great to have a shower, massage, breakfast and wait for the car to drive you home - those were the days
