when we moved in here 5 years ago it cost us £450 for three guys, one van doing two trips (5 miles between houses)

the time before that (13 years ago), the same company only charged us £225, but that was literally half a mile down the road between houses

this was us packing everything in boxes apart from furniture/large stuff

To be fair, we are moving over 350 miles, with stuff in storage in the interim!

We paid about £1000 3 years ago. No packing and we only moved about 3 miles. A very full 4 bed house

How do you do two trips? I’ve always had to have the old house empty before we get the keys to the new one?

We moved 5 years ago (about 8 miles) we had a 4 bedroom house over 3 floors.
We packed everything ourselves and they told us to strip the beds empty the wardrobes
and they would dismantle them.
They arrived at 8 am (3 of them)with a huge removal van plus a large van and to be fair to them they worked so hard all day.
They put the wardrobes and beds up for us in our new house and didn’t leave until about 8.30 pm.
The cost was £700 and DH gave them a £20 each tip

I am not stopping them going with whoever they want but they only have one quote and won’t entertain anyone else

Anyway the quote was £1350 so based on others above, looks like a very fair quote
Feel your pain, sounds the same as mil. If that is for the whole into storage and out of storage again when her house is ready then sounds very good. In fact it doesn't sound too bad even if it is just one lot. Does that include storage as well? Good luck with it all x
