Family Fun in the Sun - Day 28
Day 28 – Sea World Friday August 14th 2009
We had decided to see how the girls were this morning before making any definite plans, it was soon clear that the girls were still tired and therefore we decided to give Aquatica a miss today, have a quiet morning and then head off to Sea World after lunch. Everyone was up and out by 11.15 we decided to re visit golden corral and have lunch there before going to Sea World. Again this was a nice lunch, cheap and cheerful as well as filling. Scott very quiet at end of meal and despite me asking him numerous times if he was okay he said he was fine – remember this. We got to Sea World and did Sky tower first, Hannah and Lauren then wanted to ride Manta – it was a 20 minute wait so we looked around the aquarium and then had a quick wonder around whilst we waited for them. Scott then mentioned he wasn’t feeling very well, for Scott to say he’s not well means he’s poorly – I have sympathy but for goodness sake why not just say this after lunch and we could have gone straight home, this is one of only a few things that annoys me with DH. After the girls finished on Manta we have a very quick look around the dolphin under water viewing and then head home, much to the girls disappointment, but it really isn’t fair to have anyone walking around in 95 degree heat when they aren’t feeling very well. As soon as we got home Scott went to lie down and the girls got straight in the pool and stayed there until 5pm when I get them out and told them to get showered and ready for bed. I went to pick them up a McDonalds and then put on Mean girls for them, once this had finished they were tired so Jess went straight t bed and Hannah and Lauren read for a while. By this time Scott says he’s feeling much better after his sleep and he fancies Chinese for tea. Spring rolls, curry chicken with onions, cashew chicken, beef in black bean sauce and pepper steak with onions (all with rice) and veggie lo mein ($23.00) was picked up from our local Chinese. A lot for 2 but it also fed the 5 of us for lunch the day after as well and we still had left overs – bargain and once again extremely nice. We then watched Tatched taken, which was excellent and went to bed.
