The Moose Not The Mouse - Planning
The Planning
Roo, my husband, and I are a 30 something (well me a lot higher in the 30’s than Roo) and love to visit America. We’ve done a few visits to Disney over the years, and a few fly drives around the West and East coast. But this trip had been in the planning for a while, after I found a really cute cabin on the internet in the middle of nowhere in New England. We’d been to New England for a fly-by driving trip just over 3 years ago, and knew the places we’d like to return. So, with a little more surfing on the net, a few crackly phone calls abroad – and a lot of saving this two week visit to New England that you may care to read about was arranged. We were going to spend our holiday visiting 4 very different locations, first up, Boston Massachusetts for one night, then heading up north and on the coast - 2 nights at Cape Elizabeth Maine. This was to be followed by a whole week in a log cabin at the town of Greenville, nestled on the banks of Moosehead Lake in northern Maine. Finally 4 nights in Lincoln New Hampshire staying in the National Forests of the White Mountains in a rustic cabin by the river. Hope you enjoy the report as much as we enjoyed our adventure! Thanks everyone for replying, it's great to hear you are enjoying reading our trippie. We actually started posting this report whilst waiting at the airport on Thursday night! We're getting there slowly and should be all posted soon, just as long as we can keep ahead of the jetlag!
