Leeds-Dub-MCO Aer Lingus 27/07-10/08/21 Cheap Flights

Hi all,

Following on from the cheap Newcastle flights thread, I've just booked x5 adults on this day/route for £2322. Unfortunately, quite long Dublin stopovers (especially on the way back) but I feel the price makes up for that.

Maybe useful for other Yorkshire based Dibbers?

I can’t get Mrs YT to go for these flights because as you say, unfortunately the stop in Dublin coming back will be a pain.

Good price though.

I fly to Dublin regularly and it’s a decent airport and pre clearance is a real boon.

Aer lingus are such good prices at the moment. We looked at the Leeds Bradford one as we're in Yorkshire but the 7hr layover on the way back put me off.

I ended up booking Heathrow instead so we can break the journey up a bit but now I'm kicking myself thinking I should have gone with LBA after all as not looking forward to the 4 hr drive to Heathrow - hey ho!

Do you happen to know if you can book a lounge for the return part of the journey in Dublin?

I'll be interested to know too, I've booked from Newcastle, I looked for lounge access and no availability. Its not clear to me whether full up or not open and not taking bookings at the moment?

I think Wizzo did this route on his last trip and covers their return Dublin stop over in his trip report so might be worth a read

I can’t see why not. There’s a couple of lounges in the terminals. You’ll fly into and out of Terminal 2 which is the new one for both flights so very quick transition. It’s about 30 euro a person in the lounge.
It’s a very nice terminal (although not much in it) and the flight and layover is no bother at all apart from the long stopover. It’s a shame Aer Lingus don’t have a better flight time for this connecting to LBA as we would have booked it in the past, but Mrs YT says no way. It’s quicker for us to arrive in Heathrow and spend 3 hours driving back to Leeds which is daft really.

nice one !

aer lingus still 1/2 the cost of any other carrier out of newcastle

we have 4.45 layover which isnt too bad imo, may well look into a lounge early next year

still think i would take the hit on 7 hours based on the cost saving

Does that include baggage etc? (The ‘smart fare’). Pricing Dublin - MCO (we live in Belfast) and 5 adults is coming in at €3870
