As the baby won't require a bed there shouldn't be an extra charge on the room...possibly just for a cot but nearly all hotels will give that free of charge & the baby won't need park tickets there will be no extra charge there either. Once baby is born just call them & add on xx

Just did this with Virgin, you make the booking minus the baby. Once baby has been born phone up airline and get baby added to booking as on lap infant. Coss 10% of the full adult fare.

I am fairly certain you can book 5 people in a 4 person room if one is an infant in a cot, although we didn't have to do it.

I can say with certainty that you want to request a "pack and play" on the booking. It is the US term for what we'd call a travel cot. We'd had differing luck with it, sometimes they were in the room ready, and sometimes we had to get one sent up, which is far less convenient.

Also having a lap infant will restrict your seat choices on flights as you have to be sitting in a seat where a spare oxygen mask drops down for the baby. The location of appropriate seats depends on aircraft type and fitout.

Not Orlando, but I booked a couple of holidays when pregnant. Always booked for infant. Then when baby was born/ named I contacted the airline/ holiday company and asked them to update the name from 'baby' to the baby's given name

This... we've booked several times in advance of baby being born (for my DS and currently pregnant with a DD and just booked DLP for next September). You just add them as "Baby Surname" then update after baby arrives with name and actual DOB. No problems at all.
