she, he and i go mad in orlando - day 11: Blizzard Beach
Today was a rest day, with the usual Florida resting that is waterarks and shopping George got up early to watch a football match online, Katy and I were up by 8.30. I popped to walmart to get some craft and makeup shopping done, and came home with goodies for brekkie. We got to Blizzard Beach at about 11.30. It was pretty busy but we found seats near Tikes Peak. Katy and George played in the kids area, while I went off to ride the Runoff Rapids. there was about a ten minute wait for this, and I really enjoyed it! When I got back to the seats Katy and george had disappeared - the Tikes Peak area had had to be emptied due to 'soiling'. Nice. They came back having ridden the Lazy River. We went back to the Lazy River and did a couple of laps, we all love these so much. Afterwards we went to play in the Ski patrol training area, which was perfect for Katy - she had found tikes Peak a bit tame. We rode the slides here over and over and George had a load of fun bantering with the Scotish cast member about the football. At 3ish we called it a day and got changed. We had lunch in Lottawatta Lodge. I had a burger, george had a chicken wrap and Katy had a hotdog. After lunch it was time to shop . We went to Premium Outlets and shopped up a storm, particularly in the Fossil, Gap and Disney stores. I snagged 3 leather handbags in Fossill for $70 for all 3, and 3 knitted tops for work in Gap for $9 each. We all stocked up on gap sweatshirts for $10 each and I got a nice waterproof in Disney, which I have lived in since I bought it. After shopping, we decided to try somewhere new for tea, so drove to the 192. We decided on Red Lobster and had a lovely meal . I had the lobster combo platter, George had scallops and shrimp on rice and broccoli, and Katy had broiled fish and a baked potato, which she wolfed down! We all really enjoyed the food here and will definitely return one day!
