Buying Polynesian
Ok, following another thread about us taking a plunge into DVC resale. We're looking at a 150 point contract for just the two of us so a studio is more than ample for us.
The issue we're concerned about is availability and how difficult it would be to secure if it's our home resort. can any current owners let us know? We'd plan on doing a 21 night on our first trip out (2022) if all goes well and then two week trips every other year if not small trips in between. thanks all! |

I’ve never had an issue at getting poly at 11 months, I absolutely love it there, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed

Poly you can usually get at 7 months.
Big problem with Poly is lack of 1 and 2 beds. Do not assume if you have a family or maybe even a growing family that you will not want to graduate onto 1 or 2 beds eventually, at least for the odd trip. But it is a very nice resort and good value now resale.

We’ve had no problems securing the Poly at 11 months. We got 8 days absolutely fine, for our trip last year.
As YorkshireT says you can normally get it at 7 months too.

We stayed there at the beginning of March (just in time!) and had no problems getting it at 7 months as don't own there, in fact the availability around our stay was there well past 7 months as we'd started off with 4 nights, then had juggled our August trip to free up more points and added nights on.
Gorgeous resort, we really loved staying there.

I'm an owner there and have never had any issues getting a reservation. They usually have good availability because the resort comprises of just studios. The only 2 beds are obviously the bungalows. But there are far more studios than any other DVC resort as far as I know which is why availability is good.
