Thank you so much, Gillyflower, for your recommendation to visit Blueberry’s Cafe. It’s owned by my daughter and son-in-law and we all love meeting fellow Dibbers!

Hi! We have just come back from a stay at the lakes rookley - not on the beach but nothing is too far! I would not hesitate to use aria resorts or to stay there again - the site was beautifully kept. They had a lake with some water sport activities on and an indoor and outdoor pool - I believe they did other activities like archery although we didn’t try these. There is a nice restaurant onsite - we are there twice and the food and service was always good. Reception are super friendly and always happy to help.

We didn’t book the ferry through aria because we had Clubcard vouchers so not sure whether they offer discounted ferries.

We did Blackgang chine while we were there and our girls who are 7 and 9 loved it. Shanklin chine was also really pretty and they light it up in the evenings. There is so much to do there - we can’t wait to go back

This is great thank you! I’d not thought of tesco vouchers either….we've got loads as we normally use them for the eurotunnel….which obviously isn’t happening at the minute!

I just can’t decide whether to go for this October half term or a week at Easter, out school has the week after Easter off which means it will be later in April. Not sure whether Easter or halloween events will be better!

We would recommend the accommodations at Tapnell Farm, they have eco lodges and domes. We stayed at October half term and they had Halloween events at the farm park. When you buy your farm park tickets, you only have to buy them for day one then you can reuse them for the length of your stay, which is great as we were able to pop in and out as we pleased. The Cow restaurant do amazing burgers. They also arranged a discount on the ferry for us which reduced that cost a lot.

We are staying at the garlic farm this summer which we are looking forward to, they do tractor rides around the farm and do evening events such as jazz and a magician. We will be sure to visit Blueberry’s cafe too, we just looked them up after reading on here and the cakes look amazing! Feeling hungry now!
