I am getting the feeling tens of millions of Britons are going to be in serious fuel poverty over the coming months.

Some of these increases are not sustainable by many.

Wholesale gas prices have gone up by roughly 70%...

It's translating in around a 40% increase on average for most consumers. Depending on your area and what you switch too.

Its not just property size - your region counts as well.

So ofgem have appointed EDF as our new suppliers.

I don’t even want to think about the cost of our bills going forward.

EDF came out as comparable to Octopus/Bulb etc. when I switched last week.

No idea sorry. My wife was a major player in the industry going a couple of years back but she got out so I no longer know the finer details.

I was with green energy when the went bust and we was pushed to EDF. It came time to switch and for the first time ever the offered tariff by EDF beat all the switching engines.

No doubt because EDF buy in advanced and not off the spot market. Still 40% increase.
