Has anyone connected through Miami to Orlando I’m looking at some flights and the connection time seems quite short on some and wondering if anyone has done it, some of the turnarounds are 55 minutes and others 1.15 Is this doable? Xxx

Dont touch it, you have to clear immigration and customs in miami, then board your connecting flight to orlando all in 55 mins. i wouldn,t chance any connection under 1 1/2 hours when entering the us.

Thanks I thought it was really tight but wondered if I was missing a trick ! I can’t for the life of me understand why they insist on selling these flights as valid connections! xxx

For the return journey MCO-MIA-LHR the shorter connections aren't a problem as no need to go through immigration/security. Even then I think 55mins or 1hr 15 mins is a bit tight as at certain times of year you could have a weather delay leaving Orlando - I have had that happen and it is a bit nerve wracking especially if you are booked on the last flight of the day from MIA to LHR .

On the outbound there is no way I would even think about such a short connection.

There's not, don't know why I wrote Heathrow, covid tiredness setting in! Sorry! Its Tampa to Gatwick on the way home, I would prefer to fly out of Gatwick and back into Heathrow as Heathrow is on our doorstep, but went for the cheaper route!

Did this on Monday with a 1h 40m layover which was ok as we got to the gate for the Orlando flight 45 mins before take off so shortly before boarding commenced. However, our flight from Barbados was 20 minutes early, we have Global Entry so immigration wasn’t an issue but luggage didn’t come off until 45 minutes after we landed and it then needed putting on the onward travel belt.

I wouldn’t want to do it with less than the 1h 40m we had and ideally I’d want more time but it was our only flight option from Barbados.
