Mobile Solidor doors

I know a few of you have these doors and I have a quick question if anyone can help please.

I have selected my door but I don’t want a handle. I just want something that looks very similar to my current wooden door but without the hassle of painting it!
This just has the finger pull on the outside.

However, on the inside how will we open it? The door designer doesn’t suggest anything for the inside and surely I can’t be pulling the thumb turn to open it?
The installer has suggested an internal knob which is fine but when I’ve looked on Google images, these seem to be screwed all the way through the door and this is visible on the other side. I definitely do not want that!
Same story with a knocker, I don’t want to see fixings behind it from the inside.

Do I need a knob either side to eliminate this issue or is that not what happens? I feel like I’ve asked too many questions of the installer and as I’ve seen these mentioned on here, thought you’d be in the know!

Thanks so much!

No screw/bolts need to protrude right through. Letter plates yes sometimes but again you don't have to have the 50mm+ bolts and can opt for 30mm screws.

What about a flush 300mm polished chrome door pull or similar on the interior? It does require a Carpenter to cut it in but that's a 30min job.

Or a T Bar handle inside?

This is what has been suggested…
I don’t dislike it I just really do not want the exposed screws on the other side so thank you for clarifying!

I don’t want to make a snap decision but equally I need to get this sorted ASAP before the door swells! (as it does every winter)

Also, and this is honestly troubling me, how will I hang my Christmas wreath?! 🤣🤣 OH says we can’t stick a nail in it

If Mrs Morrow asked where to hang a Xmas Wreath she wouldn't like the answer.

No you must never put a nail or screw in.

I like something on each side of any door that is not too fussy or small. Something like a decent knob or a T Bar or similar. Can't be doing with groping around in the dark trying to find something.

We have a solidor with a thumb turn inside and I’ve just tested it, it can be opened easily with just that. We have a handle so tend to just use that instead.

Thanks Hillybilly, I did ask if that was an option internally but they said no

I have decided on a knob.
Might even have it in the middle so I can loop a ribbon round and hang my wreath the other side!
Seriously Mr Morrow, Mrs M must need these answers too?! 😉

Oh ok, good to know. I’ve just emailed them and asked for the knob!
I can’t possibly change my mind again 😬

I think you have made the right decision. Durable and does what it says on the tin.

I have a upvc door and I am able to put my hanger over the top of the door for hanging a wreath without it interfering with the door opening and closing. I get no drafts on my door either.
