Greyhound busses
Hi
As car hire is ridiculous we are considering using a greyhound. We could get an internal flight to MCO instead but tbh the greyhound would give us a last full day in our first destination, no transfer to the airport, no bag fees and around half the price of flying. The downside is it’s 9hrs on the bus but it’s an over night transfer so hopefully the kids will sleep and we would chill the first day we arrived. Anybody ever done this and can give me a balanced view? The 9hrs does seem long but then by the time you have travelled to the airport, waited, flown and then transferred to hotel it’s prob a good 6/7 hours anyway. TIA

9 hours on a Greyhound is a very long time. Where are you landing first? Personally I think you are mad to consider doing it overnight with 2 kids.

It’s because we really need a 7 seater as 5 ppl and luggage and the cost is eye watering but we might just have to go with it!

Have you ever travelled on a Greyhound bus, its not an experience I would inflict on someone if I didn't have to.
Is there a train service you could consider? |

I travelled from Los Angeles to New York by greyhound bus when I was 23. No overnight rides. They were so uncomfortable, not well-padded !
Might have better upholstery nowadays and probably an on-board toilet but I still wouldn’t chance it. |

My daughter is taking the flixbus from kissimee directly to Miami airport as she has to leave 3 days earlier due to obliged class in university . 4 hours and around 20 pound 😁 I cant drive down and up to Miami for that price, let alone the time it would take me
