Also everything I've read advises you to get to the courthouse first thing. Is this necessary or just the best time to avoid a wait?
Congratulations! And no need to apologise.

Whilst I don’t have the answers, please let us know how you get on when you get back.

Hopefully someone in here can help you.

Just an update for anyone interested - we got married the other week at Osceola County Courthouse. I know previously people have said they just turned up without an appointment but because the website states appointments are required I decided to book a few days before just in case. This was really quick and easy, and there was tonnes of availability even for the next day. In the email confirmation there is a link to an online kiosk application for the marriage licence which needs completing. This only took about 5 mins. Orange County Courthouse confirmed with me via email that appointments aren't necessary but as Osceola was closer we decided to go there.

Our appointment was at 8:30am and we were out at 9am. At this time there was zero queue for security so went straight through (be careful what you take as we had our pram clips confiscated!). Nobody really told us where to go or the process and we got lost a couple of times, so I'll explain where we went in case this helps anyone.

When we got out of the lift we turned left and gave our name in at a reception desk, they gave us a ticket number and asked us to wait in a waiting room. A few minutes later our number was called and we were asked to go to a booth number, this was to the right as we came out of the waiting room. The lady here asked us to check all the info we had entered online was correct and we signed a couple of things. We paid the $120 dollars then were sent back to the waiting room. A different lady then came to get us and brought us to the ceremony room. There's a little tripod availablr if you want to set up your phone/camera to record the ceremony and they also offered to take some photos for us at the end.

After this we were sent to a different booth number where we collected our marriage certificate. You can get extra copies for $3 each.

If anyone has any questions ask away and I'll try to help.

Hi Rebecca,

Thank you so much for the update. Congratulations, I'm so glad everything went well.

I'm happy to hear that they offered to take some photos and there was a tripod to record the ceremony. Those are little touches I was not sure about so thank you for letting me know.

We've taken your advice and are now booked in for 9.30am on November 15th.
