Blizzard Beach recently reopened after a long refurbishment and Typhoon Lagoon closed for the winter period when traditionally only one water park is open. Come March/April next year both should be open at the same time again.

They’ve not both been open since before Covid. They have not committed to opening both water parks again. I doubt very much they open both next year.

But that wasn't the case earlier this year. Nor last year.

Once March/April came around again, one park closed and the other one opened. There's only been one open at a time in the last couple of years.

In 5 trips we've only ever visited Typhoon Lagoon once, we haven't had 14 day tickets in the last 3 trips so not bothered at all about missing out on them. We have done VB a few times, and Aquatica, but in all honestly we would rather chill around a pool than use a waterpark, I actually find them knackering and a bit of an effort, but then I have never liked waterslides, so that sways my opinion lol. Walking up those stairs to the top of a slide in blazing hot sunshine, in the middle of August to wait ages to go down, not for me haha.
