Also to consider is some hotels have a resort fee payable local.
None of the Rosen hotels have this I believe.

I'm going in June and on a budget! I've booked Rosen at Pointe because it's so central to the restaurants, free transport to universal, no resort fees. Plus I got a very good price!

I stayed at Montreale Express as a solo last year and it was great for what I needed.

Right next to a wallgreens. I just used it to sleep really but the room was large and clean. And the price was a lot cheaper than the alternatives at £50 a night.

Its also just over the road from Surfside and you can use their Universal bus transportation.

Thank you so much, will email or contact them nearer time to book that side of hotel lol.
I cannot wait to get there now

Did you book direct with hotel or a travel site?
I want to make the most of having 'cheap' weeks away while I have an annual pass for Universal

I didn't have great experience in the avanti- but, what I did like was being able to walk to universal (we were in the one closest to universal end,) other people really like it though. I wouldn't be totally put off staying again as I think we were a bit unlucky with a few things.
This time we are trying one of the Rosens- also have mixed reviews but hopefully be fine for us!
If it was me, I'd probably be driven by price and proximity to where you want to go to most. Check car parking fees/resort fees too!
Have a lovely time

I know you've booked, but just to say we love the Avanti International so convenient for walking to restaurants etc, we didn't have a car and weren't doing parks in December but did uber to Disney Springs and Universal Citywalk. It's got a really lovely pool area. Definitely worth thinking about for future.
