I am sure we will have some trips that overlap.
So far we have February for a quick break. March for 2 weeks then late April in to June. Deep joy later with an hour plus on the phone to Member Services to get October pulled. However they have always been excellent so I give them credit for that. Take care.

Hope it went well!
We overlap late April then. We are also just about to book most of Sept as our son is coming with us for 10 days and we have a cruise with friends booked too.

I’ve said before one day they will install a Mr and Mrs Morrow statue, maybe next to the Winner’s Circle, in honour of the couple who spent more days at SSR than anyone else, ever

Only a 25 minute wait for Member Services yesterday. Things are improving.
Our Oct/Nov trip was sorted and as we have a December use year we need to wait until mid December before swapping Points over from existing reservations in order to use the ones we have in this weird account they have created. Not to come away empty handed I got the Lady to commence our August booking so that's another one booked for next year.

Hi How did you get to keep your 2019 points please, we have been told we will lose ours very soon. We have an August use year.

I’m honestly not sure of how but it happened like this.
At the end of 2019 we had 3 reservations for 2020 using left over points and some 2020 points. All were cancelled of course. We then had a reservation for 2021 using these points and some borrowed for a long stay in a 2 br in July/ August. Also had a reservation for December 2021. At each stage of cancellation and at the times it became clear the borders were unlikely to be open I contacted MS. It took them a little longer to move the 2019 points but it was all done in the end. Sorry, that probably doesn’t answer your question. 🙃 I did get the impression that they ‘liked’ to see a booking in the system and each time we cancelled I made a new reservation. I think it was covered under the international members policy. Not sure if that is still active with Monday’s announcement. When were you told about losing your points? Have you any reservations in the system? |

Hi Thanks for getting back to me, like you we have had reservations since 2019 using 2019/2020 points which have been cancelled and rebooked each time. Just got told the last time we booked again that we would lose our 2019 this October and can't extend them anymore.

That seems unfair, is it worth speaking to someone else, I was given conflicting information at one point.
Was your most recent cancellation/rebooking made before the border opened? Not that it should make a difference. Can you rent your points or your reservation? Is RCI an option? Better than losing them. 😞 |
