Paying Disney the remaining balance

Hi,

I have noticed recently that the flights aren’t being cancelled until 6 weeks before the holiday date and at the moment, some with only 2 weeks until the flight.

I need to pay 💰 Disney the balance mid October for our trip at Christmas. Does anyone know if they are letting you pay the balance closer to the holiday date at the moment?

I am worried if I pay the whole amount and we are not allowed to travel, would I then lose the full amount or just the deposit still?

Check your T&Cs, I have a 2022 booking which has the Covid updated T&Cs and cancellations up to 7 days before will result in loss of deposit only for non-flight bookings.

ETA: I believe they are still issuing full refunds if you can't go due to restrictions though. The 7 days is choosing to cancel.

They’re letting you pay 35 days before, but you do have to ring and ask. I’ve done it twice now😳

I cancelled 8 days before due to go and got full refund. This was 2 weeks ago . In fact they sent me an email saying due to the travel ban I can either change holiday date or if don't hear from me they will automatically cancel it and refund in full.
