Can you use milk chocolate or white chocolate? Or does it need to be dark?
You can use milk or white chocolate in the same way but white chocolate is notoriously temperamental when trying to melt or use so I try to avoid using white.

Is the Betty Crocker chocolate fudge icing easy to find? Will they have it in tesco?

One of the ladies at work makes fantastic cakes and she puts chocolate buttercream and also breaks up milk/white chocolate bars into chunks and adds to the buttercream, it’s delicious!

I'd do a chocolate buttercream for the filling and around the outside.

Do you make your own?
If so how do you do it?

I've made peanut butter buttercream. Could use that (I have) inside the cakes and around the outside. Just add peanut butter when you are making the buttercream instead of chocolate/cocoa powder
