I am a great believer in prevention is better than the cure. I took Dramamine before boarding and I was one of around 25% of passengers who made it to dinner after leaving Port Canaveral and heading into heavy seas on the edge of a tropical storm.

My DD has tried sea bands and they worked for airsickness too.

Thanks, think I may give them a go. I am worried that tablets will make me drowsy, so was thinking this may be a better option.

I use the bands. I think part of it might be physiological but it if it works it works! I've only got sea sick wearing them once and that was on a really rough cruise where even the staff were off sick because of the swells. On a moderate swell they work great. Also my sister swears by patches

The work for me. You have to make sure you get them in the right place though. I had to wear them for the first couple of days and then was ok without them until the sea got rough. I was worried the tablets would make me drowsy too but lots of people said take them before bed and you’ll be ok that way.

I swear by them on ships. I was so ill on a cruise many years ago so bought some on board and I was as right as rain after that. I use them on flights and long car journeys now too.
