So last year we all had a chocolate one and DD got a refillable one- in it she had some form of sweet and every 5 days she had some sort of christmas activity that we could do together like card making or a decoration set. Previous years I went overboard and she got actual mini gifts like hair clips etc but then I ran out of ideas for her stocking 🤣🤣.

This year we will have DD and our DS who will be 5 months so I'm not sure what I will get for him or whether to just say they are sharing as he obviously wont be eating sweets or doing much 🤣. Of course Hubby and I will have a chocolate one

I tried to order the Glossybox one this morning but it wouldn't recognise me as a subscriber even though I am so I threw a sulk and hubby has ordered the Fortnum and Mason beauty advent calendar for me as a Christmas present.
It is a silly amount of money but I got one last year and it was like opening a present every day of December and as I can never think of anything that I want normally it also solves that problem 😄

I also found this one in John Lewis which I'm tempted to get for my daughter:

johnlewis/thames-kos...endar/p5733843

It looks like it's based on an escape room concept with a puzzle each day which looks interesting.

It really is, and I don't normally spend money like that on myself (although these are becoming a bit of a habit 😳 ) but last year's was lovely, even the box is beautiful 😍 I bought myself the Liberty one the year before which started my obsession and I can also recommend that one.

Last year we had the funko pop marvel one for my kids and they loved it. For my DH I made envelopes with a scratch card in each - big hit (although not surprisingly any grand prize but about £25 which made it as about cost neutral as you get)

This year we decided to go back to chocolate ones. And then my DH remindef me that I have a beauty calendar of some sort up in the loft that I bought after xmas in the sale. I have no memory though of what I bought!
