2023 prices
Hi everyone,
We have not been to Disney since 2012 and wow have the prices changed! I am wanting to book for 2023 and I have a price from Virgin for 20 nights in January/ February staying at Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort which is coming out at £4200 without car hire or any park tickets for 2 adults and 2 teenagers 13 & 16. Do you think this is a good price? If prices were to drop would Virgin let you cancel and rebook? We are having to book so early because I have vouchers that are about to expire. Thanks in advance for any advice, I am sure I will be on here a lot trying to get my head around all the changes. Thanks Sue x |

I assume that’s Flights with bags?
With Virgin/BA they are around £420 for jan/feb 2022. I’d expect them to be about the same for 2023 when they get released in 5/6 months time. So you’re paying about £130 a night for the accommodation, which for jan/feb 22 it’s coming out between £80-£115 depending upon the site. As always, you’re paying a premium by tying yourself in to a travel agent well in advance. They’re guessing prices and adding a buffer + profit on top. If you wait you’ll save a grand. |

The same sort of time dates for 2022 are £1k less so there is a very large mark up on next year, if you have a voucher when do you need to use it by? If possible maybe wait it out and see how prices go?

accommodation is around £116 a night at that resort in Jan feb 2022 so flights around £470pp sounds reasonable to me if direct of course.

When do you need to commit by? The prices will always be speculative so far in advance, with a voucher they know you havent got much choice. Will the whole cost be covered by the voucher ?

Sorry the prices i just realised i lookd at feb/march. The jan feb prices for resort much less for 22 and 23 so the prices for flights are alot, could you just use your voucher just to book hotel and add in flydrive later on when prices for flights have stablised after release? Sorry for confusion

I have always found that Virgin is more expensive compared to booking with BA, Kenwood travel, TUI or Disney direct (if you want Disney)
It does look like an okay price for 20 nights but I would always try to book with BA or Disney as their prices were much cheaper. I have also found good deals on travel republic for accommodation only with booking flights separately. |
