Sam, I loved reading this report. Wow the food sounds just amazing. It is making me feel hungry just hearing about it. You certainly had a great time by the sound of it. Carolyn

10:4 Big Bear!
Yer canny good at this trippy lark, aren't yer Pet? Loved readin all of it, though told V it was awful and yer'd got food poisinin and been bitten by spiders in yer sleep - but she'd already read it Was delighted to see they do 5c machines - I can just about handle that idea. Yer crammed an awful lot in in a short time- given how much time yer spent propped at them machines And I DID think we were goin on The Stratosphere thingy when it got a mention Mattilda? More like 'five-card-Lil' if yer ask me |

Great report Sam!
Isn't Vegas the most amazing place - your report brought it all back to me. The changing ceiling at Ceasars Palace is 'awesome' and I loved the volcano at The Mirage and the Pirate Ship fight at your Hotel. We never discovered the tram sadly and, like you say the distances on the strip are deceptive aren't they - I was dead on my feet from walking it some days! As for the Stratosphere - oh my word, I wouldn't have even gone up to the restaurant, let alone do that awful ride at the top! Glad you had such a great time!

LOL Shaun I wondered where I'd heard the name Matilda before
Although actually I kinda like 'five-card-Lil' - I didn't realise 5-card video poker could be so addictive and when I found the nickel machines I was certainly in heaven I will get round to doing Disneyland I promise

Sam
What a fantastic, detailed report, it really is getting me excited about my trip in October. I have not been for five years so I know that there are lots of changes, we have never seen the Paris or the Aladdin hotels. Know what you mean about the nickel machines being addictive, but then you just go to the quarter and the dollar ones, did you have one of those buckets with all your change in, I even gamble whilst waiting in line for the restaurant if there are machines. My favourite video machine is the blackjack, and I need to be forcefully removed from them The buffets in Vegas I think are the best anywhere, and the Sunday Champagne brunches are a real bargain, with the unlimited champagne. |
