If you like Oakleys styles but hate their quality then I'd highly recommend checking out VonZipper, I swear by them, first bought a pair 10 years ago and never looked back, very sturdy, been all round the world with me (made for Surfing / Skate / Snowboard) and have lots of styles available, I always buy the Elmore Style, currently own 5 Pairs in various colours / lense types.

Shop around online and you can usually find them for a decent price well below RRP.

Thank you

Costa del mar sunglasses sound like something you’d buy off a guy on the beach.

Not expensive at all but I swear by eyelevel polarised sunglasses. I’ve had two pairs in around 6 or 7 years. (Broke the first pair hence the reason I stick to cheaper glasses)

I was an Oakley fan and have several pairs. I went for a pair of Ray Ban Wayfarers two years ago.
I didn't realise Oakley quality had gone down. When did this start? As they haven't reduced any prices!

Worth remembering that Luxottica also own Ray-Ban.
I've far too many pairs of sunglasses but my go to pair is still the Oakley Holbrooks with the mirrored and polarized lenses I bought last year - quality seems as good as the polarised Oakleys I bought 8 years ago (and they've been around the world, bottom of the sea, and now live in my golf bag).

Luxottica took them over about 7-8 years ago, and they have been winding down their usa glasses line, but they bought out rayban early 2000 i think. Nb:- Luxottica also own and make tescos value glasses range 😂😂🤣 they are the biggest glasses maker in the world.
I have 2 pairs of ray bans one original Bausch + Lomb pair and a luxottica pair, both with the original green lense one pair bought early 1990 on pair bought after buyout my Bausch + Lomb pair still have clear amazing glass lenses totally scratch free, shame i cant say the same about the later ones.

Maybe that's where I arent seeing the drop in quality then as the pairs I own were still made in the USA?

I didn't know that!
Thankfully I haven't had any problems with either.

These look good. Might give them a go next time. Though my OH tells me I already have too many pairs of SGs.
