Great thanks, and sorry for thread jumping. Our front door is fine but a little warped, and a touch drafty as it comes straight into our living room.
We would never have done anything with it, but it’s worth considering with the new energy efficient grant perhaps

I’ve just found the quote and it was £1146.00 inc VAT and fitting.
We use a local company and have just had all our front windows replaced by them too.

We didn’t need any side panels etc, just the door/doorframe.
This is our door:

We had to have it adjusted once already as it actually had a draught blowing in! (Crazy since we were sold it on the strengths of it being as well as secure and nice looking that it would prevent heat loss, even going so far as talking us into not having a letter box in the door to improve it even more!)
It needs adjusting again
Annoying as our old door was perfectly fine in that respect but had been on since new build about 18 years ago.
Could be the fitter we used of course and hope it isn't representative of Rockdoors in general.
Sorry to say that it is a common fault with Rock, and not the fitter. and the usually waffle on about there needs to be air circulating around the door!

Really That's annoying! But thanks for heads up...
I will quiz the fitter about his experience (next time he comes to adjust! ) with Rockdoor as he says he really rates them. Annoying!

Oh I’m having a rockdoor fitted as we could not get the size we needed in either solidor or prodoor( very small cottage door. Fitter comes recommended by an excellent builder so fingers crossed. To be honest can’t be worse than what we have as when the wind blows the letter box flaps ! Just waiting for a fitting date so will update .

Rock door fitted last Feb, door with long handle, frame and new side window for £1300. Absolutely superb fit and no draughts at all.
The fitter was excellent too

I had a Solidor put in about 2.5 years ago. It was £1160 all in, but I didn’t have a letterbox or knocker.

We are looking at a solidor.
Have been quoted 1600 for the door, fitting & extras (knob, knocker).
However, my mum has informed me the government will be running a new scheme starting September (I think!) whereby home improvements that improve the energy efficiency of your home (heating, insulation etc) will be funded 2/3 by the government.
Obviously not all companies may use the scheme or there may be criteria to meet but it’s worth a shot. I’ll be waiting until some more info comes out before ordering ours.
