Adult colouring books

This was the rage a couple or so years ago but nowadays I never hear of it and don’t do any.

I have had several different brands of coloured pencils, Staedtler, Fabre-Castel, Derwent, but none of them seemed to leave colour on the page that was intensive enough to make a decent picture. I was and still am so disappointed. I did have some that were not supposed to leak through to the back of the page. Good colours but they did leak. ☹️

Did anyone find coloured pencils that they were pleased with? Does anyone still do colouring?

I am an adult. I do colouring.

I don't have any adult 😉 colouring books.
I am happy with my cheap pencils.

Plenty of browns an pinks but not enough shades of grey for what you want 🤣

Am I missing something here? Do we get to colour in Sam Fox or Chris Hemsworth 🤷🏼

Seriously? Do I simply need those half sized pencils, what I think of as pencils for kids? Do they leave a decent amount of pencil on the page, instead of seeing a lot of white through?

The ones I linked to are full size. They do me (the non watercolour ones). (Pack of 120). But I am not particularly nuanced with my colouring I am afraid.

There are many more expensive out there. It's an individual thing.

Perhaps it's the paper? I like expensive smooth thick paper.

I like to use good old Crayola pencils like I had when I was a kid. They leave a decent colour unlike some of the insipid ones

Ultra fine sharpies are better than pencils! So much easier and the colour is much more vibrant.
