Alamo pick up trucks

Hi, I like the price of the Ford F-150 (or similar!) on the Alamo website, mich better than the Chevrolet Suburban (or similar!)

Do the pickups have a cover of any kind on the back? Thinking mostly to protect the suitcases on the way to/from the airport if there is a storm, I’m sure most shopping would fit in the foot wells or middle seat at the back

No they don’t have bed covers. Shopping can go in the under seat storage just check out you tube to discover it
And they are one of the worst things to put a car seat in
DH pick up here we get 3 isofix seats in no problem
A 2 min fix not the F150 it’s a night mare 10 / q15 min faff

Thanks, thought that may be the case

Not worried about shopping it’s the luggage on the way to/from the airport I’m concerned about, will have a think

One of my cars here in the U.K. is a pickup, seats a breeze in mine but by the time we go they should just be in normal booster seats. We’ll have plenty of case room so,planning on taking our own to save a few quod vs hiring them

DH pick up here the car seats go in no bother but I really did struggle getting seats in the F150 and the are American bought seats suitable for it
Will just say took my 2 car / pick up owning neighbours at the villa to get them in
Getting them out was worse

We got one last time we went (a free upgrade).

We found it great! It did rain on way back to airport but our cases were hard shells. You could just take some bin liners in your hand luggage.

Loads more room in the seats too... More than a "normal" car and car seats fit perfectly.

My partner who was the driver liked it too as felt safer being a big vehicle on such big roads!

Also great if you do have kids for Strollers and also throw the kids in the back of van whilst loading car etc instead of them. Standing round a carpark x

Yeah - no flat bed covers but if you take a F150 you can get 3 adults up front and then pile bags and the remaining person in the rear of the cab for the airport run.

We had one in 2018 and I thoroughly enjoyed driving it.
