Can anyone recommend me a camera . . .

Hi

I am taking my grandaughter for her 1st visit in October -My daughter (her mum) won't be coming as she is starting her nursing degree in uni.

I want to make sure i capture as much of it as i can for my both of them with lots of video and photos,

I watch Tim Tracker alot and they recommend a Cannon G7x as it has the great stabilisation but it is way out of my price range at the moment. They also mention the canon SX720hs as there back up camera but give no info.

I like the idea of a go pro but again Tim Tracker says no as the stabilisation on them is rubbish so the videos are very shaky.

Any ideas or recommendations. I have a camera that takes good phoptos but not so good for videos

Have a look at the Panasonic Lumix range. We ditched our camcorder and both DH and I use our Lumixs for video instead.

Agree with Panasonic for compacts. The TZ range are great all round cameras. But the big reason is the lens quality. No amount of featured make up for poorer glass.
