Footpath between Wilderness Lodge & Fort Wilderness?

Hi,

Is this back now?

A few years ago we travelled all the way to Wilderness Lodge to use the Footpath over to Fort Wilderness. Got to the resort, walked all the way down to where the map says it should have been to find it had been cordoned off for what looked like construction So we then had to traipse back to the boat landing.

So is this open again or did they get rid of it?

Thanks

We also went there and found it sectioned off for construction (2 years ago)... We Were told however that because of time(6pm) construction was finished for the day and we could still take the walk...
It was a lovely walk, passing a family of deers, then all of a sudden it got a lot darker ,my family and i laugh about it now but by the time we reached Fort Wilderness we believed we were in the "Blair witch" woods!...When we saw the ranch in the distance walking towards FW we all sighed with massive relief! ..I would never do that walk again unless it was early day time and others were also walking there! haha

I remember something about it in Tim the Trackers vlog about the running trail at Wilderness Lodge.

Is that where the old River Country park used to be located along that stretch?
